Simon has over 30 years of experience in communications strategy and coaching. He is a communication coach and media trainer who has supported leaders across professional services, industry and politics to communicate clearly, confidently and credibly with the media and wider public. Known as a deep listener with calm, incisive judgement, Simon creates a focused and supportive environment in which leaders can refine ideas, navigate complexity and prepare for high-stakes communication moments. Simon began his career in PR, working with clients including British Airways and AstraZeneca, before moving in-house at WHSmith, where he oversaw media relations, investor communications and journalist briefings. His career then took a political turn, working in both the US and the UK to prepare political leaders for interviews and press conferences. He later transitioned into journalism, writing for broadsheets such as The Times and The Financial Times, giving him a 360-degree understanding of the modern media landscape. This experience makes Simon a trusted partner for corporate communications teams managing sensitive or challenging issues. He is a visiting lecturer in political communication at the University of Roehampton and co-author of Be Bulletproof, a guide to building resilience in the workplace.
