Lucy

Gordon Lennox

Lucy has been Chair of AGL since October 2018 and has been integral to the organisation since taking on the company from her late brother, Anthony (1969–2017). She leads AGL by building on its strong foundations and ensuring its continued relevance in a fast-changing world. She has shaped AGL’s strategic direction, including the design and development of the Future Leaders’ Programme, which supports young people to thrive in the early stages of their careers. During Covid, Lucy pioneered AGL’s partnership with LookupLive, an international youth digital wellbeing charity. LookUpLive worked in partnership with The Social Dilemma (2020, Netflix) to encourage young people to support one another in managing technology and wellbeing. Lucy was a speaker at their Youth4Youth virtual summit in 2021. Before joining AGL, Lucy worked extensively across education and the creative arts. Her early career included teaching in apartheid era townships in South Africa and working in one of Romania’s orphanages. She later founded The Daisy Chain School, a successful South London nursery, which she later sold to a national nursery group. Lucy has lived in Paris and New York and studied at the International Centre of Photography in New York City. Her The Word on the Street Polaroid series explored communication through graffiti and street art in urban environments. During this period, she also trained at the NLP Centre in New York City and is a qualified NLP practitioner and mentor. Lucy’s diverse professional background continues to inform her thoughtful, values-led leadership and enduring contribution to AGL.
