Tom

Stuttaford

Tom has worked in communications for many years. At AGL, his home for over a decade, his focus has been on helping a varied clientele, rich in business leaders and public figures, come across as the best version of their real selves: as effective leaders, compelling thought leaders and authentic human beings. He has a record of success as a delivery coach (both verbal and physical communication), writer (above all, high-stakes speechwriter and writer-developer of personal, institutional, intellectual and leadership narratives) and advisor. As a delivery coach, he offers both general coaching, e.g. job interview preparation and public speaking; and specialist coaching, e.g. media and parliamentary select committee preparation. He regularly uses video. He is a quick learner of intellectual creativity, flexibility and curiosity; social and emotional intelligence; and breadth of knowledge, interests and experience. His sessions are lively and entertaining. Tom has worked abroad as well as at home, for public as well as private sector organisations, and in research, as well as sales, marketing and communications. Before AGL, he spent fifteen years in finance: first, as a research analyst at the Bank of England; then, in equity sales at Banque Paribas in London; and finally, in a senior marketing role at Paribas Asset Management (PAM) in Paris. He has a first-class degree in English Language and Literature from Oxford University, a Diploma in Law from The City University and a Diploma in International Public Administration from the École Nationale d’Administration (E.N.A.) in Paris.
